The job

Building One Community (B1C) is The Center for Immigrant Opportunity in Stamford. Every spring they hold a Benefit Breakfast, their gala. They need a film to play there.

What we made

“Here. Now. Always.” is the film for the 2026 Benefit Breakfast. It shares stories from B1C’s founders, volunteers and participants, and it played at the breakfast. We also filmed the breakfast itself. Below are more of the films we’ve made for B1C since 2021.

How we made it

Each year’s film starts months before the Breakfast. We work with B1C to choose one participant, film their interviews over the winter and the b-roll in early spring, and lock the film in April. On the morning of the event, a three-person crew films the Breakfast itself, and the footage becomes the highlights and short clips B1C shares afterward.

The 2026 film, for B1C’s 15th anniversary, took four production days: an interview day with the founders, one with the participant, and two half days filming B1C’s classes and services.
